The Extreme Staycation

Location: London, UK COVID-19 / Coronavirus Outbreak Lockdown In earring news, I seem to have healed my ear piercings!  Hooray!  Having found my original sleeper earrings, popped them in and kept them in for a couple of weeks, turning them frequently (which was quite painful!) they seem to have healed and the holes are happy again.  What a weird sentence. My goal was to get my ears ready for a performance on Tuesday as I change my earrings along with my characters which means 10 earring changes - doing this in rehearsal is what alerted me to the fact that my piercings had indeed tried to close!

Location: London, UK COVID-19 / Coronavirus Outbreak Lockdown Getting dressed up in any decernible way has kinda gone out the window for a lot of people during lockdown. The thing I've neglected has been wearing earrings. I normally wear different earrings pretty much every day but I haven't put any in, I don't think, since lockdown started. Apparently my body has taken this as an indication to close up the holes I've had most of my life and I've had to seek out my original ear piercing studs and shove those in. I am quite amazed that my body is essentially fighting what it sees as a wound, even though it's one that's been there so long. So now I am going through the pain and twizzling of the studs to re-establish my decorative hanging places. The lesson - if you wanna keep your piercings, keep them busy.
