Because it doesn't shy away from the many things that women, 50% of the population, go through every month and also the many stages of conception and the issues that there can be around it. Blood is red, not the sanitised blue we have been shown for so long on commercials for sanitary items. We are very squeamish when it comes to talking about periods and we shouldn't be.
